Oregon!!

Hello
i ak very very sorry that i haven't posted in so long. I feel quite bad about it, since future me has will not know about what i did on like three days. I don't think anybody actually reads this blog, but i think that i will continue writing it anyway. I had a blog in 5th grade, and n ow that i look back on it, i think about how cute i was back then. It is weird. I am just thinking about what i will think to myself. Now i will explain to you the reason for my writing so urgently today. I am going to Oregon with my family tomorrow, and i will be gone for a whole week. I don't think that i am allowed to bring my computer, so i will not be allowed to write. But i will write as soon as i get back, if i'm not too tired. Until then

See you after Oregon!!

Fight or Flight

hello
today my post nees to be quite short. But i will tell you how the story unfolded(which you are probably dying to know)with the tragedy of the forgotten uniform. Anyway, today at lunhc, coach Kimberly came to talk to me.  Now i thought that it would take about 5 minutes, so i let her run a little bit onto english. then. when i saw that it was going to take longer than that, i tryed to leave but she wouldn't let me. She just droned on and on and on and on. It was horrible. I just stared stright ahead, and said
"uh huh"
"i know"
"thank you"
"yeah"
it was horrible
But yeah. that is how it unfolded. i missed the english quiz, and so now i have to make it up at linch. Grr. Also, something quite funny hapened today
i was at the orthodontists, and we were just sitting and talking about how i only needed to lose 3 more baby teeth and then i'd get braces and a retainer, abd then my tooth fell out. It was hilarious.

ta ta for now

The Tragedy of the Forgotten Uniform

Today has been pretty okay day. We had erbs(ERB)all morning. They were alright. The thing that really sticks out in my head about today, though, is the fact that y volleyball coach is completely crazy.I'll tell you the story.
So this morning, i was actually thinking about our game today. I got together my volleyball stuff, putting it in my school bag, which i put on the small ledge that i put stuff on when i want to remember. But i didn't remember, and so at school, i didn't have my volleyball uniform. So i go up to tell my coach, and instead of attempting to think like a normal person, she just kind of flips out and yells at the whole team that we wouldn't survive two days in a desert. How is that related? But anyway, i tried to ask the sport director, but he'd already left school. So, since i'm on JV, i asked her if i could borrow one of the Varsity people's uniforms. Not only did she tell me no, but she also began yelling at me, and told me that i was not playing that game. So i called my mom and went home. My coach told me to stay, but i didn't listen. Would you have listened?

Amazaing Play #2

i know that you guys have heard enough about my play, but i just wanted to say htta it was pretty good yesterday. My friend Grace and I had to split the part, so Grace did act 1, and i id act 2. We were both happy. Anyway, Grace did ok, although her and Alice skipped this one part that was kind of important but not really important. I was good too, except for there is this part at the end where Minnie is supposed to have a wedding dress, and Grace was being self-centered and saying that she should get the dress. Thanlfully, Alice intervene and slowley explained to Grace that since i was the most recent Minnie, i should get the dress. It makes sense. Grce can be really really self-centered and annoying. She is generally bug-full sometimes. Anyway, thats about my play.

Esmerelda's Party

did i ever tell you guys about Esmerelda?
i don't think i did. But i will now. Esmerelda is the autistic girl in my class. She had huge glasses, that make her eyes look even bigger than they are, and buck teeth. also, she is a pokemon master. her brain just runs on a different wavelength than everyone else's. But everyone diagnoses autism as one thing, where in reality, i think that its a combinations of many different symptoms, that doctors and therapist diagnose as one thing to make medication easier. But anyway, yesterday, Esmerelda turned thirteen. At my school, when you turn thirteen, people usually have dance parties. Esmerelda did. It was pretty good. People danced and that stuff. Tomica and Vannessa weren't there, which was (if i may say so) really nice. They didn't act exclusive or anything(liek they usually do when they're at parties). It was nice. Afterwards, everybody got picked up. I was supposed to be taking Rena and Ezra, these twins in our class home with me, driving them home. So my dad didn't know that it ended at 9:30, so he got there at about 10. Also, these guys in my class, Tom and Davy, were also staying later, because Tom's dad also didn't know that it ended at 9:30. So we were all talking, and then Davy asked me:
"So Lena, tell me, did you, or did you not like Gavin last year?" (last year, i liked this boy Gavin in our class. )
"um....sure"
"when?"
"mostly the first half of the year, when we sat next to each other in science"
"oh" and then he kind of made things embarrasing for me, because he knew that i liked him too last year. So he says to Tom
"and then she saw Davy...and she swooned" . It was awkward. But then we just continued talking. during the party, i was telling Liza and Tasha about how my friend said that the bigger a boy's feet, the bigger his "" is. Anyway, i went around looking at people feet for a while. But anyway, they were talking about shoe sizes after that...and i was putting my face in my hands
Good chat

Grandparents Day

Hello
I am very sorry that i haven't been writing that much lately, but i just didn't have a lot of time. On wednesday, i was sick and so i didn't really feel like doing anything but watch t.v. on Thursday, i had choir until 7, and then i got home at like 7;30, and then a had to do homework for an hour....I guess i could've found time, but i think it might be too much of a hassle. Anyway, you might want to know why i've titled today's post "Grandparents Day". Well, as you may suspect, it was because today was grandparents(and special friends) day at my school. Nobody came for me, because all my grandparents live in Greece. But i did share my friend Tomica's grandparents, and so it was cool. Me and Tomica just walked around together all day, with her grandparents. It was fun. The grandparents kind of milled around at first, but then for the two last periods of the day they came into our classes. In my class, that meant Science and Religion. It was ok. In science, we did this whole lad to impress them. I think that they knew that it was orchestrated to impress them ,but it they didn't let on. They all acted very impressed. In Religion, it was actually very good. Our religion teacher is totally crazy. He does this thing sometimes when he starts yelling "oi! somebody open the windows, open the windows!" and then he runs around the room flapping his arms. It is weird. He is a nice guy though. Just a really bad teacher. Anyway, not a peep from him throughout the whole class, which was great by us. All in all, it was a fine grandparents day.
on sunday, i have another performance of my choir play. I am being Minnie in act 2. I'm pretty excited.

An Un-Terrible Tuesday

Hello
today has been so un-terrible. Npthing particualarly bad happened. Today was a very nice day. School was fine, and so were friends. We had this wheelchair thing at school today, and it was really funny watching everyone in my class wheel-ing around in wheelchairs. It was fun, and funny. Also, I had my choir today. Although we had two productioins last weekend, we are doing one more this sunday. It will be fun, and i am cast for doing the second act9since we were double cast, and there were three shows.). i hope It'll be fun. Today choir was fun, and i talked a lot with my friends Grace and Emma. They were chastising me a bit(lot!) because we were talking about who would be our next two choices if we didn't like the person we like now. Emma said no body, Grace said this other guy(who Emma and I don't know) and i said the guy that Grace likes. It was funny, how Grace thinks that i would be competition for her. Although i might be, it is still wierd. And Flattering. So yeah. Other than that, nothing really important really happened today. I hung out with Tasha and Liza, and it was very fun.

A Normal Monday

Hi.
As you can probably tell from the title, today has been a pretty normal day. although, i guess not that many days of mine would be considered "normal " for a lot of people. To me, today was pretty average. This morning, i got up, walked the dog, and then got to school. It is always calming to walk the dog, because not that many people are about at 7 in the morning, and a nice morning walk through a pleasant street can be really soothing. School was ok. othing really exciting happened, other than the fact that there were several people missing in my class. After school is the part that i really want to talk about. we had volleyball today(mondays and wednesdays) and today, we had a game. We played against this military school. It was ok, although we weren't very close to winning. They had a team made up almost entirely of boys(which i thought was really interesting-usually volleyball is considered a girl's sport), and all the boys they had were really short. They were really good though. I made several good serves, and i think i did pretty good. My mom came to watch the game, and she was very proud of me. So, i think that if my mom is proud of me, then i have a good reason to be proud of myself. you think so too?

thanks for reading!(although i don't think anyone actually reads this blog...oh well)

My Awesome Play

Hi!
i know that i alredy posted today, but that was about yesterday. Anyway, mow i am just comeing home from the cast party for my play. It was amazing!!!! I remembered all of my lines, and i did a bit more. I was loud, and yep. There were a few funny parts. The first one was that there is this little bit with me, Irene, and this police officer, except for the police officer just didn't come, so we just skipped ahead. Also, at this one part when we're supposed to go to the park, in couples(Irene; Cornelius, Minnie; Barnaby), and the kid who plays Barnaby wasn't there. I just called around (making it work) on stage. I was just like"Barnaby, come on, we have to get to the park". It was funny. My friend Emma was amazing in the play. She was a really good Dolly
My boyfriend came to the play, as did my friend Sapphire(she has a really cool name). My mom's friend Ezter came, as did a family friend, whose name is Squash(no real name mentioned; nickname). Anyway, all in all, the play was great!

Play Day

Hello.
Today i am writing about yesterday only. Since i am writing this in the morning, i think that it counts as yesterday. Anyway, Yesterday was our first performance of Hello Dolly!. It was also the worst. I think that often, in shows, the first performance is the one where everyone gets themselves together. It wasn't all that bad, but i think that the performance today will be better. Another thing to ay: i had a really busy day yesterday. My mom took the car and went to this thing she goes to. Then, since we had no car, my dad, my little brother, and I had to take the Bart to this Bar-Mitzvah service that we said we'd go to(it was one of my preschool friend's bar mitzvah). Then i got home, and i immediatly went to my friend's play. Then i went to my play. Pretty packed...oh, a funny part of the play, there is this one part in Hello Dolly! Where this waiter has to come in a take someone's order. It is supposed to happen after Rudolph(head waiter)'s speech. Rudolph didn't make her speech, and the waiter just dissapeared so i just went on stage and i was like "where is rudolph? " and then i walled over to the people who needed to be waited, and took their orders. It was fun, because the waiter didn't have too many lines(i knew all of them anyway) and i got to be applauded by people who said that i saved the day.

Friday Again

Hi
As with tuesday, i did not write yesterday. Although i know that on wednesday i did tell you that iw as too busy, today i tell a different story. I had to choose between playing this game that I'm addicted to, or blogging. I thought that i'd be able to survive a day or two without writing on the blog, so i happily chose the game. Anyway, About today and yesterday. The most prominent thing about yesterday, for me, was the dress rehearsal for my choir. It was very fun, and it was so hot out! i almost died in this floofy underskirt, shorts, a tank top, a blouse, and a wedding dress over the whole thing. anyway, the rehearsal was good. Today i went on a field trip with my school. It was pretty interesting. We went to see this place, where apparently a bunch of interesting plant discoveries were made. I thought that it was cool that we got to go to the place where the Blue Rose was originally discovered. We got back to school a bit late, and so missed the bus (that i usually take to get home). I waited a bit, and then my dad came to pick me up. Then i went to a crash rehearsal for choir, which was ok. My friend from choir, her name is Grace, was being annoying. We have to do this dance thing, that i am pretty good at, except for one part. I am just not very good at doing things with my feet. So the student assistant(Luna) was trying to teach me, and Grace was just laughing on. and on. and on. and on. It was really not cool. sometimes Grace just doesn't know when to stop. But other than that, my day was good!

Nicely Played

Today has been ok
I am very sorry that i didn't write yesterday, but i had a very full schedule, and i didn't get home early enough to do both homework and blogging. So anyway, today has been a pretty good day. Today i (again) spent more time with Tasha and Esme than with Tomica and Vanessa. Like on monday, Tomica and Vanessa were being really annoying with their constant chatter about 1D. It is so annoying because they are sooo obsessed with them that it is ALL they can talk about "harry styles this...oh, kevin the pigion that". So Tasha and Esme are really cool. We talked a lot. I also had volleyball today, and that was really fun. Coach Kimberly is a bit crazy, but it is nice to be with friends. Also, Tomica was not at practice today, so that was cool too(not because i don't like Tomica, just that she was being quite annoying today). I made a few good serves over the net, and i think i did pretty well. This girl in my class(Mia) who has never been able to serve over the net actually made it today, and thats why i decided to title today's post "Nicely Played"

Monday Jumble

Today has been a crazy day
not that that is out-of-the ordinary at my school, but today was especially crazy. For me, at least. This morning i woke up very late, and got out of the house too late to catch the bus. My parents had to drive me. Then at school, i remembered that i was supposed to wear/bring shorts and a tank top for the play today, because there is one scene where we wear these dress things that are just robes and you have to wear something short under it. and your sleeve can't show(for your shirt). So i was kind of nervous/annoyed, but i ended up borrowing my friend Tomica's shorts, and it was all ok. And i also had to borrow some of my friend Tasha's hairbands, because i didn't bring any of my own.
then i had to put makeup on(stage) and some of the eight grade people at my school were assigned to do that. My friend Lilybell did my makeup for me, and it was really pretty!

Play Weekend

I know that i've already posted today, but that post wasn't my official post for the day. It was related to yesterday, so it doesn't count. Today's post is called play weekend because today is my school play. It is also called that because the next three weekends, all i am going to be doing is going to bar/bat mitzvah's, and performing school and choir plays.
Our school play is today, and the next two weekends after that i have choir plays. For school, we are doing Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and i am Violet Bouregaurde, the one who chews gum, and ends up as a giant blueberry. For choir, we are doing "Hello Dolly!" and i am Minnie Fay. Hopefully, those of you who read this know who that is, but if you don't then she is one of the main characters. My choir play is a lot funner (more fun?) than my school play. Its probably because my choir director is smiling and (not yelling) at us all day. My school play call time is 4:30, so i better get going.

Saturday Night Life

Wow
this post is dedicated to some of my friends, and some of the drama they went through last night. So last night, some kids who used to go to my school had a party. I was invited, although we weren't really friends when they were at school. They were only there a year when i was there(since i only came to California two years ago)so yeah. Anyway, they had a party for their birthday. It was a nice dance party, but there was wayy too much drama for my liking. My friend Tomica's boyfriend (the one i talked about going to a movie with{double date}) broke up with her. My friend Tasha got asked out, and she said no because she didn't like the person, and then felt really bad because he started crying. My boyfriend(<3) gave me a really pretty ring. It is really fake looking, but super sweet.
Anyway,  a lot of drama. I think that its all a bunch of crap though, because at our age, people asking other people out is nothing. it doesn't mean anything.

Saturday in San Francisco

A Saturday in San Francisco is what I've decided to call this post. I don't technically live in san francisco, i live in berkely. But today, my family took a trip to san francisco. San francisco is a really cool place. Today, my family went there. It was fun, and we weren't there too long. First we went to treasure island, and stopped for about an hour at this fair thing. There were the awesomest hats there. My little brother and I played around with them a lot. There was this one ski mask that looked just like Dr. Zoidberg from futerama(which my brother watches-although he doesn't get half the things they say). We cracked up when he tried that one on. Then we went to San Francisco itself, and walked around in chinatown for a while we had some Dim-Sum, which was really yummy. We also got some small things for me. I like to collect things a lot, and when i was really little my grandma got me this little pink glass cat from chinatown. We found a little glass cat that looked just like it(although purple) and i thought that it would be a nice addition to my collection so i bought it. We did other things, don't get me wrong, but this post is long enough, so i won't tell you about them today.

My ideal weekend

hello everyone.
Today i thought that, since "its friday, friday..." that i should write about what an ideal weekend would be like for me. So i think that my weekend would begin with my friends Tomica and Vannesa sleeping over at my house. Then, in the morning, we might go to the pool, and have a lot of fun there. Then, after the pool, Vannesa would go home while Tomica and I went to see a movie with our boyfriends. After that, i think that i'd go home, veg for a bit, and then go to sleep reading. The next day i think that i'd wake up late, and then have a rehearsal for my choir. I go to a choir, that i like a lot. We do musicals every second semester, and thats what i like the best. So anyway, i'd go to a rehearsal at my director's house(she has a pool) and chill for a bit. Then i think that i would go home, and be with my family for a while. And probably fit some homework into all this. So yes, that would probably be my ideal weekend(with friends).
If you want to share what your ideal weekend would be, just write it in the comments

A cloud the color of the sunrise

Today i saw a cloud the color of the sunrise
with its soft pink glow
and radiant red streaks
with splashes of orange
and rust colored gold
drifting through the evening sky
blown by the wind
though a storm of sunset
a cloud the color of the sunrise

Hello
As you have probably noticed, i've started off today's post with a poem. The poem "cloud the color of the sunrise" is one that i wrote a while ago. While i do not consider myself a poet, i do write poetry sometimes, when i come home inspired, or when i have a particularly strong emotion that i need to express. This poem was written one day when i was feeling particularly thoughtful. I was sitting on our front porch and looking at the sky and i decided to write the poem you see above.
Today i found the poem on a file on my desktop; so i decided that i should put it in my blog post for today. Hopefully, this is interesting, and readers do not find it as monotonous as some other blogs, which just describe the nature of the blogger's day and such

A good way to say hello

Hello all of you people out there. This is my first post. I know that this blog might be a source of amusement to many, and a lifeline of truth for others, but i want you to know that for me, this is blog is just a game. I Don't mean by this, that the blog isn't true. It is. I will include some of my own adventures in this blog. However, i will(definitely, i am telling you-don't say you weren't warned) tweak some very important things in my life. Hopefully, you viewers won't mind.
To start us off, i will tell you a little bit about myself. My name is Lena. No last name, as i don't want anybody looking me up by my last name in the phonebook. I was born in Greece, in 1998. As you people may know, that was right around the time when greece and turkey were very close to war, over a little island, that both wanted for military use. Because of this, my family decided to move. We moved to Australia when i was 2. [I am not telling you where in australia, but simply that i lived there]. I lived in australia for a while, until i was 11. Then, two years ago, i moved to San Francisco, California. I was, officially, a california girl.
Now i am 13 years old, and i attend a middle school in San Francisco. I travel some, for reasons you will find out if you follow my blog at all. Today has been my first day writing on my blog, and i hope that you consider this little(and not very informative) introduction a good way to say hello.
